TequilaCon and Life

May 3rd, 2008

I’m feeling much better now that I’ve had a full night of sleep but now I’ve got a lot to do! Tonight is TequilaCon which is being held here in Philadelphia. There are so many bloggers I just can’t wait to meet! You can keep up with the happenings too! Just follow me on Twitter or check for updates on the right sidebar all day and night!

Now I have to thank Tug for sending me this video this morning…just when I really needed a shot in the arm too. Randy Paush has it so incredibly right. I’ve had so many failures through out my life but I thank God that I’ve always turned them into opportunities…every single one of them.

Please enjoy and learn something from the video.

That video always makes me cry. Cancer is just so damn unfair but I love how he is making the best of everything. What other choice do we really have I guess. I have heard interviews with him and he is just an amazing guy.

This is the Randy Pausch I told you about - I am so glad you got this video. The complete version of his lecture is available from various sources and he also does a period update of his journey at

I use the original Randy Pausch video in my class. I tie it in with the novel, The Alchemist. He is inspiring.

I saw the Pausch lecture about 6 months ago; it was incredible. I had know of him through my teachings in Computer Science - he has contributed a lot to our field.
