Afterburn

May 13th, 2008

There is so much I have to tell you about our wonderful trip to Disney.  I promise to tell you all about after I get some much needed rest and after I recover from the bad news I received about my job.

Looks like Friday is my last day.  I kind of saw the layoff coming but getting slapped in the face with reality my first day back from vacation was kind of hard to handle.

I also have a ton of unpacking, blog reading, bill paying and e-mail reading to do.

What have you been up to?

Hang in there, honey. I am glad you got away with your dear ones. Don’t let the lay-off dampen your mood. It’s just money. And money is BS compared to family and friends.

Blessing in disguise? More time with the family… right?

Sucks financially, but you kinda need time for you right now.

Don’t worry about the job. It’s not important. Get some rest, all the holidaying must have been exhausting.

What have I been up to? Let’s just say, I’ve been better and leave it at that.

I’m glad you had a good time and I’m glad to read your posts again even though I’d prefer it if you were still in Disneyland (or do you call it Disneyworld there?) enjoying yourself.

    lots of hugs and kisses!!

I’m sorry to hear about your job, but I have a feeling this is going to turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

I agree … losing the flexibility in my job (that made me quit) was terrible at the time, but I’m so glad in retrospect that I had the time with my family.

I know losing the money and the distraction is awful, but I know that you’ll make the best of it.

Now … tell us what fun you’ll be having with your kids on Monday!

Good to hear you’re back and had a good time.

Can’t wait to hear about it.

Bad that you’re laid off, but yeah, like poppy said, blessing in disguise perhaps.

Nina, Thanks. I’m glad we got away too because I was able to put my family above everything for seven days.

Poppy, As much as I hate to admit it, you are right on both accounts.

And it truly sucks ass financially.

Colin Brooks, I’m sorry to hear that life is troubling you. I’m behind on my blog reading so I haven’t “caught up” with you. I’m just an email or Twitter away if you need me.

Cindy, Like Poppy you might be right.

Geek, You are vote number 3 for the blessing in disguise.

WhyMommy, I always make the best of every situation…after I bitch about if first ;)

Yoshi, I’ll be writing about the trip tomorrow morning.

Hilly, Some of the pics are on Flickr and the stories are coming!

Tug, Thanks for the Welcome Back. I came back feeling mentally rested…so that’s a good thing.

Vikki, Meh, it’s a kicker but you know me…

    Musing, The stories are coming…

Radioactivegirltori, Goodness that’s a long name! You are with the majority in feeling that this will be a blessing in disguise.

Josie, Every thing works out in the end if you have the right attitude about it…at least that’s what I’ve found.

Iron Fist, No jelly??? Next, you are going to tell me you cut the crust off of the bread too.

    Were you craving Peanutbutter Tandykakes?

    Disney stories are coming…

    Poppy, Hi again!

Sugar? Sugar with PB? Am I to suppose that you do not do jelly either?

What is wrong with you anti-jellites? Or are you anti-jamites?

Give it up for the jelly and the jam in the “J” of the PB and J sandwich.

Karen, Treasuring time is something I would love to do…

She, I’ve heard of the chemo angel thing before. Thanks for the link.

Shelli, Thank you…”that fooking sucks”…that’s great!

Erin, Aw, don’t be jealous…we really needed time together.

Christine, Timing is everything, isn’t it?

Miss Ann, Some pics are on Flickr!
