On Thursday I started chemotherapy and for the past few days I’ve been feeling pretty lousy. Fortunately Sister D was in town.
I called her on Friday morning and said, “Do you want to come over and shave my hair off?”
She replied, “HELL YEAH!”
Unfortunately I’m not feeling well enough to do any fancy schmancy editing so you are getting the video in two parts. If anyone feels so inclined to edit it and make it into some get work of art…go for it. Obviously I have no career in film.

the most intimate experience i ever had with my best friend was when i too shaved her hair off. i took her to disney world after her 2nd chemo. her hair started falling out. we were staying with my uncle. it was much easier i think that we were together and making something we both did rather than her having to do it by herself. hugs.

seeing you two smiling, seeing the fuck cancer hat, both warms and breaks my heart at the same time. my heart breaks at the thought that my mom shaved her head on her own…it never dawned on me to offer to help. although i told her she totally should, i so wish i would have been there to help. but you and sister d help replace a little of the pressure on my heart by blaring music and attacking the shaving with style.
