Before I announce the winner of the $50 SmartyPig card let me just tell you what happened last evening.
After my daughters decided to have their own sleepover in Teenie’s room I found Thelma and Louise on Bravo. That has to be one of my list of favorite movies. So, I got very comfortable in the living room and started watching it knowing that Dude would appear any moment looking for the remote. Every Saturday he watches Cops then America’s Most Wanted.
I can’t tell you how sick I am of both shows or how paranoid those shows have made me over the years.
However, last evening Dude sat on the couch and watched Thelma and Louise with me! I was shocked. Totally shocked. So shocked that I told him I was going to blog about the fact that he watched this movie with me and he said, “Oh, don’t blog about our personal life.”
I’ve never laughed so hard.
“Dude, have you not read a single page of my blog???”
“No. You aren’t telling the world about our personal life are you?”
Where has this man been for the past three years??? I just laughed hysterically while he shook his head. I asked him if he was having a lapse in memory or some sort of short circuit breakdown. He responded with, “Well the world doesn’t need to know I watched Thelma and Louise“.
Oh, yes they do, oh, yes they do.
So, now for the winner of the SmartyPig card as picked by randomizer.org. Drum roll please……….

BlondeBlogger, I’m not sure what he thought I was blogging about.
Sister D, Are you calling Dude clueless or men clueless? Because both may be true. No offense sis, but I was glad you didn’t win either or all hell may have broke out. When #8 popped up and I saw Miss Britt was assigned that number I was like Woo!
Sarah, Thelma and Louise is a must see. It’s like Brad Pitt’s first flick. It’s the ultimate BFF film. And the fact that Dude watched it tells you that it is good.

I too love Thelma & Louise. You do know that their convertable had a parachute packed in the trunk so that when they sailed off the edge of the Grand Canyon, they slowly dropped down to the bottom of the canyon and are now living with the tribe of American Indians who inhabit there. Right? Stop laughing right now. I hate, hate, HATE sad endings. If I want to watch something sad, I will watch the news. I tend to be very creative with some movie endings, just saying.
BTW Lisa, I was sucked into the woodwork because hubby had a mild heart attack May 31st. He is doing good, they put in two stents and sent him on his merry way. Thanks for missing me though!

I am so dumbfounded at Dude’s response. LOL What did he think you were blogging about???

no, i meant to say men, not man. but you’re right: both can be true. although i must say my brother-in-law is way more on top of the game than other men i know!

Miss Britt, I asked him and he just said, “I don’t know what you do!” out of frustration because he knew, he just knew that I was going to write about him watching Thelma and Louise.
Knowing that, he still doesn’t read my blog and if he does…I double dare him to comment.
Sister D, You have to admit that out of the three brother-in-laws I’ve given you, Dude is the best.
