After going through six hours of chemotherapy on Thursday I will be in bed for the next few days. While I’m laying in bed feeling miserable I’m starting a blogging vacation. I’m not sure if I need three days, five days or 30 days.
Some of the things I’ve experienced over the past few weeks have made me wonder if blogging is something I want to continue. It’s left me wondering who in the blogging world can I really trust.
My energy is much better spent on healing and conquering a disease that is trying to consume my body. If blogging is going to interfere with that then I’m sorry, I can’t continue. Maybe a break will help sort that out.

I’m with Karen. On the other hand, if it’s theraputic for you and you can turn off the comments, and that’s what you need to do….
On the other hand, I’m with Karen.
I think about you and your family constantly (even though I may not comment a lot) and I’m always praying for you and sending you “good” vibes for healing. This is all about you and what you need.
I’m sending love and warmth and gods blessing to help you and your family in what ever way He sees.

You have every right to take a blogging vacation, and focus on yourself. I hope that you respond well to the chemo, and that you can enjoy this wonderful weather this weekend. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and you take all the time you need!

do what you have to do! your health is the utmost priority.
although i do have to wonder if you vacationing from writing is the answer. perhaps a vacation from what the rest of us write is the answer? may i respectfully suggest that you consider staying away from everyone’s blogs…the dramas and successes and failures and antics and everything…just write here about what you are thinking and feeling? regardless, you are loved and supported. and prayed for.
with much love and healing thoughts,
becky

Lisa,
You absolutely have every right to take this much needed break from the blogging. You have to focus on YOU and when there is a constant worry lingering in the back of you head about how somebody is going to react to you now, or how someone is going to comment on your blog, or God for bid if someone is going to question your truthfulness of having cancer… It’s time to take that well deserved break. You are focusing on you and your inner being, along with your husband and children. Your family needs you more than us bloggers do right now.
We’re here for you, and we’re ready to listen when you’re ready to talk. If that never happens, we respect that as well…after all, this is all about you and what you want. Of course we’ll miss you though…
.
When and if you do need us, just call our names… and we’ll be there. (Now I have that song in my head…geez!)
Much love, thoughts, prayers, and well wishes sent your way Lisa. I think about you every single day…

i totally support you. you need to focus on getting well and being in serene environments. the blogosphere at times doesn’t contribute to either of those things.
peace be with you.

while i would love love love to keep reading about your journey, you have to do what’s best for you. as kind and loving as the internets have been to you, the internets have been equally cruel.
i hope you keep writing, but for every good thing you put out here, it is attacked and questioned, forcing you to defend yourself. and that’s not fair.
concentrate on getting better. we’ll be here if/when you post again.

While I enjoy reading your blog I would much rather know that you are taking it easy, trying to feel better, and spending time with your family. You do what is best for YOU as far as the blog goes. If your heart isn’t in it anymore then leave it for awhile. I don’t think anyone would say a word against you for it sweety.
I’m sorry you have to go through chemo, it’s a hell I don’t ever want to know and hope never to know.
Take it easy and know people are thinking of you. BIG BIG hugz.
