Chemo went really well today but I’m so wiped out that I’m writing a post from my phone, while I lay in bed.
Before I had chemo I met with Dr. Lu. He reviewed my blood work from last week, in particular the CA125 marker. The CA125 marker is a tumor marker used for Ovarian Cancer.
A normal CA125 marker measure at about 3 to 15. In April I was up to 328. In July I was up to 425. Then on August 7th my CA125 marker shot up to 625.
Last Thursday, on August 21st, just two weeks after my new chemo protocol began my marker dropped 150 points to 475!!! In just TWO WEEKS!
This is the first step in a positive direction that my cancer has taken since March.
I just want to thank everyone who has said a prayer and kept me in their thoughts. I hope you will continue to do so because we still have a long way to go…
Now it’s time for me to go to bed.

As a cancer withstander who waits with bated breath every 3 months for the update on her CEA levels (they’ve been inching up for the last 3 appointments), I completely get the excitement with the huge drop in your CA 125 marker.
Yay to you!!
Rest well, and keep listening to your body tell you what it needs. Take good care.

P.S. I’m not nuts (really), if you’re bored go back on my blog and look for the “Conversations with God” posts. They may make you laugh, they may offend you, they may even make you think. But at least you’ll understand what my comment means!
