Yesterday, I received an e-mail notifying me that I had received The Rising Blogger Award. It seems that Paula from Paula’s Playground had nominated me for the award. Paula nominated me after reading my post titled, Facing Myself.
When Paula sent in her nomination she wrote:
Pretty much her entire blog is award-worthy. She posts about her life with cancer (for the 3rd time!) and the possibility that she will leave behind two little girls and a husband with great candor and humor. This particular post changed how I look at myself.
It’s funny, I never thought that anything I wrote would help someone or help change how they will look at themselves. I just share what’s going on in my head and my life. I’m really humbled by the fact that I’ve been able to touch someone else.
You can read more about the award over at The Rising Blogger Award.
In other news, I’m off to Chemo Round #2 today. Since I’ve been feeling so bad this week I plan on sleeping through the entire infusion. Just wake me up when it’s time to go home…

Congratulations Lisa! You so deserve this! You are an inspiration to so so SO many people… I hope you realize how many peoples lives you have helped realize that when the going gets tough, you still have got to push through… and find the positives in a negative situation. They’re in there, and you’ve taught us to dig for them.
Thinking about you today…and the next couple days…and well, forever.

Your response to this nomination is exactly the reason you deserve it so much. Do you know who Dr. Randy Pausch was? You remind me a lot of him. You both keep me inspired, in awe and ever-grateful. Thank you, Lisa!
