There are so many current events swirling around me that I haven’t been able to concentrate on writing anything about what’s going on in my own life. I’ve been recovering from chemotherapy which means I’ve been sleeping alot, feeling really weak and not blogging. A lot of people have started to call to make sure I’m alive. Hello, I’m alive. Thank you very much for checking in on me.
Thanks to everyone who sends sweet gifts like Lisa O. who sent me a package full of candy corn yesterday.
I’d love to thank the person who sent the box full of chocolate covered coffee beans but there was no note with the box. Please come forward so I can properly thank you. I can’t keep Dude out of the candy and he is bouncing off the walls!

Geeky Tai Tai: Every week I receive a gift in the mail from another kind blogger. It amazes me how caring people are and things arrive on the shittiest of days. It doesn’t even matter how small the gift is either…it totally makes my day.
HeatherK: Yes, here I am! Chemo knocked the stuffing out of me. I got lots and lots of candy corn from Lisa O. I’ll put some of the chocolate covered coffee beans aside for you because we have TONS! Maybe one of these days we can sneak away and meet for lunch.
Mattie: You never heard of chocolate covered espresso/coffee beans??? I guess only us coffee addicts, devoted to coffee know of them. They are awesome.
Yes, I did start receiving unemployment, the back pay and have about six weeks left of payments before it’s done. Then I’m out of income again. I’d really like to go back to work but we’ll see.
I must admit that I have never heard of chocolate covered coffee beans either. But then I don’t drink coffee and the only caffeine I get is from Tea or soda (although I’m quitting soda again..we’ll see how long it takes before I must have the sugary goodness).
Get some rest Lisa. Snuggle lots with your squishy. He looks so soft and cuddly in the picture below this post that I am starting to yawm.

Sarah: Oh, they are delicious! Maybe it’s the true caffeine addict in me. I can no longer drink coffee because it upsets my stomach so much but the candy still tastes very good.
