We had an ice storm here so the kids had a two hour delay this morning. This has thrown a kink into my entire morning. I was going to write one of those nice, feel-good posts but it will have to wait. I have an ugly pile of paper work full of medical bills glaring at me that has to be dealt with today.
So I have two things for your entertainment pleasure…
My eight year old came home from school on Monday and wanted to go on this website. She got the link at school. I told her I wanted to check the site out first to make sure it was “safe”. She rolled her eyes at me and after I got to the site I completely understood. Then we spent the next hour on the website. It’s safe for kids, work and adults.
Go on…Make-A-Flake.
This next piece of entertainment is something I stumbled upon this morning after Dude sent me a link to a video. It was a band singing, “The Dingo Ate Your Baby”. I’ve been a huge Seinfeld fan since the show first aired in the early 90s. When the show went off the air in May of 1997 I cried. Thank God there’s a rerun on every channel, every night.
So, I found this compilation and thought I’d share it. Please enjoy!

DB, Don’t you get to see reruns of it in Dutchyland like we do in the US?

That snowflake website is dangerous! I could spend way too much time on that. Thanks for sharing!

Jen, You can lose an hour there easily but you can also create some really cool snowflakes.

My husband and I are Seinfeld freaks (still, to this day, even though it’s already been in reruns forever). We consistently quote lines, especially from the episode in the Chinese restaurant:
… We live in a SOCIETY!!!
… What stinks in here?
… Cartwright!!!! (When I phone in orders to restaurants for my husband to pick up on his way home from work, when they ask for the name, I tell them Cartwright. Then, when Jeremy goes to pick it up, he tells them his first name. No order. Our last name. No order. And then he knows… I’ve done it to him again.)
… Don’t tell me that I didn’t do it right, that I had to put mustard on the eggroll first…
Yeah, we’re nutty-kookoo.
Ice storm here in CT too, by the way. It’s nasty! I work from home but I do still have to take the dog out. He doesn’t mind the weather. But I do!
Stay cozy!

Dawn: My husband would kill me if I did that to him! The ice storm is pretty bad here.

I thought you wrote “We had an ice cream storm..”
and I was thinking “Wow, I’d stay home for one of those.”

Oh my!! That is the best clip ever of Seinfeld. I love that show! My grandkids are busy making snowflakes, even though we have enough outside today. Noreaster is upon us! Stay warm.

I love Seinfield! That was great, and will definitely have to forward to my hubby. The snowflake thing was completely addictive, and I spent a few hours wasting time creating awesome snowflakes. If I could only do it in “real” life!

Gotta love the Seinfeld classic clips. This is a fun compilation.
No snow or ice here, in Austin, Texas, but we would like to request one so we can pretend we don’t know how to drive in it, and miss work. Please.
