I want to thank everyone again for all of the support, sympathy, donations and the food that we are receiving. Cameron, Christine and I are extremely grateful.

And we had 77 people at Lisa’s virtual memorial on Saturday. Glad that lots of you were there.

I have been checking in, sort of melancholy because I know Lisa won’t be here. I do it because that is what I do every day. Hers was always my first stop. I know, it is what it is.

The same as defendUSA I have to check everyday just because that is what I do.
John I think of you and your daughters every day. You are in the thoughts and prayers of my family. I hope that you are finding some peace. Take care

I started growing my hair when my daughter was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in April of 2008. Lisa was so helpful to me that I want to donate my hair in her (Lisa’s) memory. It should be ready to cut in about 6months to a year. Any suggestions on where Lisa would have me send it?
God Bless You and Dude and the kids.

John and girls and Lisa’s extended family – I just wanted you to know that I think of you all several times a day and stop to pray for you. I miss Lisa so very much, as I know we all do, but am comforted in knowing Heaven is so much more beautiful with her there now.
God Bless you

Lisa left an imprint on my heart forever. I’m a better person for having known her, even if it was just through her blog. She gave a bit of herself away to all of us and you and the girls should be so very proud of her. I will miss her but smile when I think of her.
Much love and many prayers,

Dear John,
So glad to hear that there are people who really help you. They can’t take away the pain, but all the love maybe helps you and your girls to cope, one way or the other.
Love,

I found this blog after Lisa passed away, but her words live on. I lost my husband to cancer way too soon in life and I know how difficult it was to find my way again but you do. Never a day, not one single day goes by that I don’t think of him and it’s been 10 years. Lisa’s words are truly inspirational and I hope you leave this blog for others to be able to go back and read. You were truly blessed to have known such an incredible woman.

I also donated my hair in Lisa’s name.
You have to have 10 inches to cut and you can call your local hair place and tell them you want to donate your hair to Locks of Love.

Hello, John. I’m @wadesmom, the one who encouraged Lisa to order the cute purse. She was fun and funny even through all her pain and an inspiration to me every day. I can see her spirit shining in the faces of your two beautiful daughters.

I am praying for you Dude and the kids. So glad that so many people have reached out to help.

I didn’t know Lisa as well as many of you, but I have been so moved by her story since Reader sent me over here a while back. What an amazing, courageous woman. John, Cameron, Christine, and everyone else, I’m sorry for your loss. When I do the Komen 5k in May, her name will be on my shirt, but the cause will always be in my heart.

Let me clarify, in case anyone found it strange that I mentioned Lisa in context of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Cancer is an insidious monster, in my mind, no matter what form it takes. Kidney cancer claimed my dad. Uterine cancer claimed my aunt. I know Lisa had ovarian cancer. My friend Sarah has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. For years now, I’ve been participating in fundraising efforts for all types of cancer research, because they are ALL important.

Hey Karl didn’t you say there was a partial post that you would eventually post from Lisa? I was a little curious about that.
Hope things are ok with you Karl.
